Within Linking Alternatives 3, that will take place in Peru between May 13th and 16th, social movements will discuss a key issue for their interests: energy.
Pablo Bertinat, Coordinator of the Energy Axis of Argentina Sustentable, Cono Sur Sustentable, said the meeting will discuss the false energy alternatives to climate change, the path of food sovereignty and the discussion on resistance proposals within the regional integration.
The Heinrich Böll Foundation, Friends of the Earth Latin America, the Institute for Policy Studies, also confirmed their participation.
In an interview with Real World Radio’s correspondents in Argentina, Raquel Schrott and Ezequiel Miodownik, Bertinat explained that this process of discussion is in line with previous editions of Linking Alternatives and previous presidential summits, including the Ibero-American summit held in November of 2007 in Chile or the Mercosur summit held a month later in Montevideo, Uruguay.
